The SPE: A-NZ Section is pleased to announce its first webinar for 2020 which will be Presented by Stephen Barter from ProMolder AU Plastic Packaging. This webinar will be held on Tuesday, 21st April from 12.30 pm to 1.15 pm.
Stephen has a distinguished career in Extrusion Blow Moulding (EBM) and Manufacturing. He commenced working with ACI Formould in 1986, then Apak Plastics and ACI Blowpak in technical roles before joining Japan Machines in 1995, then Albert Smith Signs and Plaspak Contaplas before entering factory management in Extrusion Blow Moulding with ACI Plastic Packaging in 1999, Visypak Industrial Packaging and again ACI Plastics Packaging. He had stints with his own companies Barter EBM and Pro Technical before joining Plaspak as Process and Maintenance Manager in 2008. He left the company in 2013 to run his own company again advising the plastics packaging industry until 2014 when he made a career change becoming the Greenmill Manager doing saw milling for the largest sawmill in the southern hemisphere, Hyne Timber, until 2018. He returned to the EBM industry thereafter.
The webinar will cover three main subjects in EBM:
· Discussing the four critical recipe components in detail
· How to test your current recipe and how to correct it
· How this recipe will reduce cycle time and improve quality
