The composites sector is enjoying a significant increase in the number of materials combinations. At this seminar the focus will be on carbon fibre reinforced plastics and other fibre reinforced materials and their applications.
The visit to the Composites laboratories at UNSW will show how technology allows us to weld composite materials with automated equipment.
Prof Chun Wang of UNSW will present on multi-functional polymers and show how nano-engineering can create specific features suitable for a range of different application areas.
Mark Sterbic of CST Composites will show us how they succeeded in gaining a global market position through a combination of passion and technology using carbon fibres.
Phil Aitchison of Imagine Intelligent Materials will present on smart composite materials with graphene.
