Early in 2017 the Chinese Government has announced that they will invoke restrictions on the import of waste of to be recycled mixed plastic products. Even though recently there are signs that there will be some relief from this measure, the industry in Australia needs to prepare for other ways of dealing with the significant volume of such to be recycled mixed plastics waste streams.
Although many will look into possibilities to ship these materials to other developing countries, an alternative should be to look more seriously into reprocessing these materials locally and convert them into pelletized materials ready for the manufacture of (new) products.
This means that an update on shredding and recycling equipment from a well-respected European company will be very welcome. Alexander Zinn of Lindner RecyclingTech at Spittal/Drau, Austria will do so in this webinar and present on:
